The third Saturday in November will be in the name of the Theatre Night. This year’s date is the symbolic 17th November 2018, which (as well as other historical anniversaries we remember this year) defined the topic of this year’s edition: Czech-Slovak theatre cooperation.

There will be more than 100 participating theatres offering performances, night tours, meet-and-greets with actors, and theatre workshops. The Theatre Night is free of charge again, only some theatres employ a symbolic entrance fee. The complete program of all theatres is available at www.nocdivadel.cz and up-to-date information can be found on the Facebook page of the Theatre Night.

This year’s program of the Theatre Night is rich again: over 500 events, more than 100 institutions and 30 participating Czech towns. “We have been part of the big theatre holiday for the sixth year. The Czech Theatre Night is the most visited one among all Nights participating in the European Theatre Night. I am very happy that more than 50,000 people find their way to theatres on the third Saturday in November every year,” says Pavla Petrová, the director of the Arts and Theatre Institute (ATI).

Some theatres have a program without language barriers, so visitors can enjoy the Theatre Night even if they do not speak Czech.

The complete program of the event is at www.nocdivadel.cz
